I say this a lot, but it’s true… Babies grow up way too fast!
Last October, I had the honor of documenting this sweet baby girl’s lifestyle newborn session in her parent’s Mount Pleasant home. Since the very moment they laid eyes on her they were absolutely smitten. Her sweet dimples are just like Mom’s and the more she grows the more she resembles her. I enjoyed every moment of their session, from the gorgeous interior, the well-planned wardrobe to the beautiful landscape that framed the waterfront property. Just stunning. I was amazed that little {C} was in such a great mood throughout the session… she had no nap during the day and was definitely overdue for an afternoon snooze. She hung in there until the very end of the session and we were able to get some amazing shots!
Enjoy the images and this blog interview with Mom’s take on the session:
Were you worried about any parts of the session beforehand?
NOPE! This was our third session and Jody always makes it so easy. She tells us how to “pose” for the pics and really walks you through the process so there’s nothing to worry about.
What was your favorite part of your baby’s milestone session?
the pictures of course!
Did the location have any special meaning?
Edisto is a special place for us and it was wonderful that Jody did the shoot there.
Tell me about the outfits you wore to the session.
I went with a solid navy dress, {C} wore two outfits, one a simple smocked dress and the second a knit bubble suit. My husband wore a bright buttondown to add some color.
Tell me about your favorite images from this session.
Us holding hands on the dock was pretty special because Jody got one those pics when we did our maternity session. She also got some great pics of us and our dog, Harley which she has gotten each shoot.
Do you have any advice for other families preparing for a Milestone Mini session?
Have fun with it! My husband and I usually have a cocktail before 🙂 Jody’s going to make you look great.
