“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”

FAQS

How do I reserve a spot?

About 6-8 weeks before the next heirloom portrait event, the booking link will go live on this page and lead you to a link to reserve your session time.

Can I include siblings?

These portraits focus on the beauty and sweet features of each individual child. If you have more than one child and would like to split the session time, the add on for siblings is $50 each. Please indicate in your client questionnaire if you have additional siblings. For more than 3 siblings, please book 2 adjacent time slots.

What should my child wear?

For best results, a solid white or pastel top with a simple neck line. Bright colors and patterns are not recommended.

I prefer color photos. Is it possible to get the images in color?

Yes. Film images can be kept in color or converted to black and white for printing. The vignette is also optional.

What age do you recommend for an heirloom portrait sitting?

Children of every age can take a timeless portrait to document this time. Infants that have a strong neck and can sit up straight (with or without a parent's assistance). Most commonly 6 months through 18 years.

What if we are sick or an emergency comes up? Is there a make up date?

In case of illness or family emergency, your sitting fee may be applied to the next heirloom portrait event or applied to a milestone session with Jody Mack Photography. If it is not used within 12 months the retainer fee is forfeited.

My child has a bug bite/scratch etc. Since it's on film, can you retouch the images?

Yes.  If necessary, I use Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom to retouch blemishes on the digital scans from my film lab.
