Just Hatched {Charleston In-home Newborn Session}

Meet gorgeous baby Stella,  who was two weeks new for her in-home newborn session. She slept the entire time and curled so sweetly into her poses. Because, I have no words for how beautiful and amazing these people are, I will let her mother’s words speak for this session:

“Being a new mom I was worried about how our newborn would act during the photoshoot and if my 2 weeks of parent experience would be enough to calm/soothe our hypothetical crying newborn. BUT you were great! You can definitely tell that you’re a mom yourself and that you have years of experience with your photoshoots and you handled our little girl with such tender care that she never even cried- thank you. It calmed my nerves and allowed me to enjoy the experience much more.

My favorite part was the family photo shoot we did with the three of us. It was the first time the 3 of us had tried to arrange ourselves together as our new family. You would think that would be easy but being it was the first time we were unsure of the best natural way for a family of 3 to come together in a photo. You did a great job talking my husband, & myself into the best position so that we were centered around our new baby.

We included a few meaningful items from our family. A handmade heirloom bonnet, a silver cup and silver baby spoon & fork. These are all items that have been in the family and were given to Stella before she was born. I hope it the future she’ll look back at those photos and get excited to hand them down to her baby one day.

My advice is to relax, Jody knows exactly what she is doing. I personally also liked the way our photos turned out with us wearing softer colors, so take the time to think about what shirts you are going to wear. Also feel confident to be creative- Jody was open to any suggestions that we had, even if they were last minute suggestions.

In the future I hope our family looks back at these photos and can see the joy on our faces. I hope that we raise our little girl in a family of faith and that she will look back and know that the love we have showed her comes from the love that the Lord has given us.”
